Adam and I met in the Spring of 2010 at a "Date and Dash" event at a Book store in Lincoln Square. I had mostly gone to provide support for a friend, but Adam and I found a few common interests during our few minutes together and we met for a drink downtown about a week later. After a few more dates, we easily fell into a relationship that is strong, healthy and fun. A year after meeting at "Date and Dash", he proposed by turning around a jack o'lantern that said "Marry Me" and giving me my grandmother's engagement ring. This October, we got married in my church, here in Chicago. I wore a red dress from a resale shop in San Francisco and his bold tie came from the Chicago Art Institute. We are really happy together.
